Cultivate is the first growth summit event to focus solely on the rural and agricultural industry. It’s a business conference with a difference – inspirational rural success stories coupled with real, practical help and advice to grow your own rural business. This one-of-a-kind event delivers the insight, the expertise and the focused support that all progressive businesses need to achieve sustained growth.
The sector we work in is constantly changing. To survive and succeed, we need to change with it. Cultivate is your chance to learn from experts in rural business growth, to network with those in the industry who share your passion for innovation, and to take away concrete, forward-thinking plans to help your own business grow.
Andy Venables is the founder of Hillsgreen, the marketing and business development agency that works solely with rural businesses to help them grow. He also created Mission 4 Milk to raise awareness for dairy farmers across the UK.
Having grown up on his family’s dairy farm and worked hard to implement change and innovation there, Andy knows just how important it is to be always looking to the future. He’s passionate about the challenges rural businesses face and the potential for growth they each have. He co-founded Cultivate to create a place for the rural industry to share their experiences, strategies and success stories, to help each other grow together.
Simon Haley is the owner of SRH Agribusiness Ltd, a firm providing strategic and financial management advisory services to farms and rural businesses. He also co-owns Social Jungle, which specialises in social media training and consultancy for the agricultural sector.
Coming from a non-farming background, Simon knows first-hand the challenges that individuals and rural businesses face in trying to effectively communicate their story to the public. He set up digital initiatives such as @FarmersOfTheUK and @EatFarmNow to help raise the industry’s voice, reach and awareness.
He co-founded Cultivate to offer a platform for collaborative problem-solving in the industry, and for rural businesses to be challenged, to innovate more, and to be inspired to develop further.
